Meeting Information
M&M PHILOSOPHY meets every Tuesdays, at the Ohio County Public Library at 52 16th Street in Wheeling. Meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. and continue until 8:30 p.m. Often we are still going when the library closes at nine. Most meetings are held in the library auditorium, although we occasionally meet elsewhere in the building. Ask at the reference desk to find out where we are on the Tuesday that you visit.
The primary facilitator , or group organizer, assures the continued, regular operation of this philosophic discussion group. Group participants are encouraged to lead topic discussions! At the beginning of each meeting, general introductions are made, new participants are welcomed, program notes are shared and the evening's agenda is explained. The facilitator for each meeting will be scheduled at least one week in advance.
Typical meeting formats. We discuss topics, walk down to the river at times, do thought experiments, try meditation techniques, watch films—in short, the only thing typical about our format is that we meet each week in the spirit of inquiry.
Former meeting topics
