The Albigen System
The Albigen System is what Richard Rose called his method of search and inquiry. The name comes from his resonance with the Albigensians, or Cathars, of the 12th and 13th centuries. His first book, The Albigen Papers, describes this method. Mr. Rose was a unique teacher who advocated principles that he felt were instrumental in his own realization:
- Personal commitment to finding the truth.
- Search for the truth in all matters.
- Consistency within lifestyle and philosophy.
- Working to change one’s being and to realize one’s true nature.
- Working with one’s fellowman.
- Self-confrontation rather than a soporific attitude.
- The reverse path, or “reversing the vector”, the path of negation.
